We're Back

The blog is back! The Hight family has been busy with holidays, birthdays, and just life in general! The holidays were great and we were thrilled to spend Christmas morning at home for the first time. It was a truly special morning. Harrison was very interested in his presents and we even had a special family breakfast.

After a lengthy discussion, Harrison decided to let Mommy be in the charge of the blog again. And, he even agreed to share the spotlight with Mommy, Daddy and soon, baby brother, Jackson. How sweet of him!

Harrison and Lily have what you call a "love/hate" relationship! He always loves her, but it's not always mutual. Every once in awhile, Lily actually plays with Harrison! She mostly loves him when drops veggies on the floor for her.

Harrison's personality has really blossomed. He is very loving and gives the best hugs!

Latest on Jackson

Mommy starts the 3rd trimester on Friday! So far, Jackson is developing normally, kicking constantly and making Mommy hungry all the time! The next doctor appointment is March 4. He is due May 22.

It's fun to be one!
I had a great birthday week last week. Thank you to everyone who came to my birthday party and called Mommy and Daddy to wish me a happy 1st birthday!

Let me give you an update on my latest and greatest tricks! I'm officially a walker, yep, I can walk everywhere by myself! Sometimes I don't even want to hold Mommy's hand. I have 7 teeth and I love to eat everything but green beans. They are yucky and I drop them on the floor for Lily. I can wave, give high-fives & hugs, play peek-a-boo and I'm a wild man in the bath tub!

At my 12 month checkup today, I weighed in at 25.5 lbs! Wow! 80%. I'm also 31 1/2 inches tall which puts me in the 95% for my age. The doctor said I'm growing just fine. Besides the yucky shots, 4 to be exact, I'm doing just great!

I hope to see many of you over the Turkey holidays. Gobble, gobble, and may the Horns beat the Aggies!

Birthday week!

Did you know that it's my birthday week? I can hardly believe it myself! Mommy and Daddy have so many wonderful things planned for me this week. A special family night on Wednesday....my actual birthday, and a party on Saturday! Turning one is going to be so much fun!

Monkey baby!

I hope everyone had a great Halloween! My first Halloween was great! Mommy, Daddy, Gigi, my god-father, Bech, and his mom were all there to see me in action! As you can see from my super cute pictures, I was a monkey! At first I wasn't too sure about wearing a costume but I was okay after I warmed up to it!

I hope everyone is enjoying the fall so far. Guess what? I can walk!! I'm still working on my form, but I can take about 10 steps before I fall down. Mommy and Daddy are very proud of me and can't believe I'll be one next Wednesday!

Happy Fall, Happy Times

Greetings everyone!

First, let me say how sorry I am for not posting anything in awhile! We have been very busy with football season, and you know that I'm going to be a big brother in the spring!

I recently went on a fieldtrip with my friends' Alice and Adalyn to Sweet Berry Farms. Boy was it a fun time! I played in the pumpkins, went on a hayride and played with a few goats! The hay was itchy but the hayride sure was fun! Oh, and one of the best things was that Mommy let me have some pumpkin ice cream. Yummy!

Guess what everyone? I'm going to be a big brother! I wonder if I'm going to have a little sister or a little brother??? May seems like a long time to wait. Mommy said we have to be patient because the baby is growing, growing, and growing! I can't wait to meet my little buddy.
