It's fun to be one!
I had a great birthday week last week. Thank you to everyone who came to my birthday party and called Mommy and Daddy to wish me a happy 1st birthday!

Let me give you an update on my latest and greatest tricks! I'm officially a walker, yep, I can walk everywhere by myself! Sometimes I don't even want to hold Mommy's hand. I have 7 teeth and I love to eat everything but green beans. They are yucky and I drop them on the floor for Lily. I can wave, give high-fives & hugs, play peek-a-boo and I'm a wild man in the bath tub!

At my 12 month checkup today, I weighed in at 25.5 lbs! Wow! 80%. I'm also 31 1/2 inches tall which puts me in the 95% for my age. The doctor said I'm growing just fine. Besides the yucky shots, 4 to be exact, I'm doing just great!

I hope to see many of you over the Turkey holidays. Gobble, gobble, and may the Horns beat the Aggies!

Birthday week!

Did you know that it's my birthday week? I can hardly believe it myself! Mommy and Daddy have so many wonderful things planned for me this week. A special family night on Wednesday....my actual birthday, and a party on Saturday! Turning one is going to be so much fun!

Monkey baby!

I hope everyone had a great Halloween! My first Halloween was great! Mommy, Daddy, Gigi, my god-father, Bech, and his mom were all there to see me in action! As you can see from my super cute pictures, I was a monkey! At first I wasn't too sure about wearing a costume but I was okay after I warmed up to it!

I hope everyone is enjoying the fall so far. Guess what? I can walk!! I'm still working on my form, but I can take about 10 steps before I fall down. Mommy and Daddy are very proud of me and can't believe I'll be one next Wednesday!

Happy Fall, Happy Times

Greetings everyone!

First, let me say how sorry I am for not posting anything in awhile! We have been very busy with football season, and you know that I'm going to be a big brother in the spring!

I recently went on a fieldtrip with my friends' Alice and Adalyn to Sweet Berry Farms. Boy was it a fun time! I played in the pumpkins, went on a hayride and played with a few goats! The hay was itchy but the hayride sure was fun! Oh, and one of the best things was that Mommy let me have some pumpkin ice cream. Yummy!

Guess what everyone? I'm going to be a big brother! I wonder if I'm going to have a little sister or a little brother??? May seems like a long time to wait. Mommy said we have to be patient because the baby is growing, growing, and growing! I can't wait to meet my little buddy.

My first day of school!

This is my teacher, Miss Alexi. Today she had on a very pretty necklace!

Today was my first day of school at Children's Day Out (CDO)! I really like my teacher, Miss Alexi and guess what? I'm the only boy! My classmates are Merrill, Charlotte and Caroline. There are really 8 babies in the nursery group but the teachers split us up into 2 smaller classes by age.

Miss Alexi told Mommy I played really well and ate A LOT! I decided to spread my green beans all over the place so I came home in my "extra" outfit. Oops! Maybe I'll decide to take a nap on Friday.

Even though I missed Mommy, I had a great time playing with my new friends. I was really tired when I got home and after my bottle, I went right to sleep!

9 months!

Can you believe I'm 9 months old?

Here is my latest scoop!

I went to the doctor yesterday for my 9 month check up! Even though I had to get 2 yucky shots, I was very brave! Dr. Treybig was very impressed with my progress and even told me how cute I am! And, in Cooper's (my cousin) famous words, "I am growing and growing and growing!" I now weigh 22 lbs, 8 oz. and am 30 inches long. I'm 75% for weight and 90% for height. I'm tall just like my daddy!

I love to play with my toys! I especially love my activity table that Mommy posted in the picture. I can pull up on it and bang on all the fun things. I am pretty happy most of the time! In the next picture I'm crawling after an old pacy I found in a drawer. Yep, I can open drawers now! Watch out Mommy and Daddy!

Let's see....what else am I up too? I love to eat! I can pick up my O's and feed myself! I also like peas, and mashed potatoes. I'm really good at holding my own bottle and sippy cups too. I'm becoming very independent according to Mommy.

I hope you will visit my blog again in a few weeks when I start going to school. I'm going to the Children's Day Out (CDO) program at our church, Tarrytown Methodist on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-2. I already love visiting the nursery on Sundays so I know school will be great!

Aren't my new cowboy boots great? I look pretty darn cute in them! Cici and Royce gave them to me over the weekend. They are a little big but I'll grow into them in no time! I can't wait to wear them like Daddy does!

I've been really keeping Mommy and Daddy busy lately. I'm officially a crawler and quite proud of myself! Now I can get into more mischief. I love to pull up on things I'm not supposed to touch like the coffee table and tv. Boy is it fun to keep Mommy chasing after me!

Here are a few facts about me that Mommy wanted to share. I'm 8 months old now, I have one tooth, almost 2 and I am 29 1/2 inches long and now weigh almost 22 lbs! And, I'm attending my very first Vacation Bible School this week with Mommy.

Happy Summer!

Hi everyone! I'm so glad Mommy turned my blog over to me. I love to share my "latest and greatest" pictures with you all.

Well I'm back home now from my vacation with Cici in Houston. I had a great time and stayed out of trouble, mostly. I did figure out how to dump over my toy box! Mommy and Daddy had a great time in St. Thomas but they really missed me!

Now that I'm back home, I'm a very busy boy! I'm almost crawling and I'm starting to get into everything!

Yesterday, mommy and daddy took me swimming and boy was it fun!! I love splashing around in my snazzy, crab floatie! It helped me forget about my icky teething.

Wow! I'm 7 months old!

Hello everyone! I'm sorry my mommy hasn't posted anything about me in awhile. I've been keeping her very busy. I've had a nasty cold this week but I'm starting to get better. Thank you to everyone who has called to check on me.

I'm 7 months old now and weigh 21 lbs! I love to eat as you can see in my latest picture, but I'm pretty messy. I love to spread my food all over my mouth. I'm pretty funny!

Let's see.....what are my latest tricks? I'm trying to crawl but haven't quite figured it out yet. I like to rock back and forth on all fours. I also love to laugh at Lily when she runs by but I can't get her to play with me just yet. I can sit by myself and roll all around like a steamroller. Oh, and I'm working on my bottom teeth! It hurts sometimes but I love to gnaw on anything.

I have a new best friend! Bethany has been babysitting me a few days a week so mommy can volunteer and get stuff done. I absolutely love it when she comes. Mommy needs to get some pictures of us so I can show you all.

I went to my first Rickett Reunion last weekend at Lake Travis. Wow, there were a lot of people! I enjoyed meeting everyone but boy was I worn out! The best part was that I got to see my Ninnie. She loves me!

On Sunday, I leave for my first vacation to Houston while Mommy and Daddy head to St. Thomas for a little R&R. I'll be at my Cici's house. I wonder what kind of mischief I'll get in while they are gone....stay tuned!

Rub a dub dub, Finally a Tub!

Greetings!

Harrison went back to the doctor today and received a great report! Everything is healing up perfectly so....FINALLY, a bath! He's only been allowed sponge baths since surgery so he was a ripe little fella. He had a wonderful time splashing around with his toys and even let Mommy attempt a mohawk.

The Little Patient

Harrison is doing great after his surgery on Friday! As you can see in the picture, he is still smiling and playing with Daddy! He is doing better than I expected...he's only had a little pain and I think it's mostly tummy aches from all the medicines. He is limited in his activities but only for a few weeks until the tenderness goes away. We'll know more when we head back to the doctor for a follow up appointment on Tuesday. I also attached a picture with his bandages showing. For a little guy, Harrison is tolerating them very well.
Thank you to everyone who has emailed and called to check on Harrison. We appreciate all of the support from friends and family!

Mi Amore Amy

This evening Harrison was pretty grumpy. After all, he had a very busy day....walk with friends, errands, and playtime with Gigi. But as soon as Amy came over, Harrison was all smiles! They haven't had a date in a few weeks but he lit up when he saw her. As you can see from the pic, Harrison has a crush!

Today Gigi came over to help Mommy with some flower arrangements but the best part was that Harrison had her all to himself! After his nap, they snuggled and played! They had a great time!

Mr. Busy Baby

As you can see, Harrison is a very busy baby! He loves to play with his toys and anything thing else he can get his little, drool soaked hands on!

It's official!

Harrison is officially 6 months old!

He went to the doctor today for his checkup and now weighs 18 lbs, 13 oz. and is 27 inches long. What a big boy! 75% in all categories. He was very brave while getting his shots and only cried for a minute! We were so proud of our little man.

Harrison is progressing nicely on all of his tricks. Stay tuned for more pictures!

Snooze!

Harrison has a new trick! During his morning nap today, Daddy and Mommy caught him sleeping on his belly. Way to snooze Master Harrison!

Welcome to Harrison's website!

It's hard to believe that Harrison is almost 6 months old and I'm just creating this site. Better late than never, right? As I get started, I'll try to back track a little to get everyone caught up on our little darling.

At birth, Harrison weighed 9 lbs even and was 21 1/2 inches long. A big boy, just like daddy! From the beginning, he has been what everyone calls, an "easy" baby. He sleeps, eats, plays and has a sweet personality!

Harrison is truly a blessing in our lives. We are so in love with him! The only skeptical one is our dog, Lily. I think she is finally warming up to him though.
